Happy Fall! What's New
Lili ChinHow is it October already? Here are a few new things on this website.
Stickers
Fuera Ice! Protest Dog. Free Palestine. These are now available. See the collection here.

Mahjong Guide
Those who follow me on social media know that I love playing board games. Lately, my husband and I have been playing a lot of mahjong with friends and at mahjong events that have been popping up around LA. For new players, due to popular demand, I made a small print-and-fold guide which you can download for FREE here.
My friend Kiem, has been using this guide to teach Mahjong up in the Bay Area. :)

Hot Tip: If you are in Los Angeles and are a mahjong pro, bring your table and set to Common Ground Mahjong. 626 Hospitality happens to be one of our favorite ice cream shops! They will also be raffling off some of my stickers!
Free Protest Sign Art
Some of these are based on actual hand-painted signs. Now available as digital downloads that are FREE to print and use! Click here for the download link.

Animal training & behavior blog posts
I have added a few new blog posts to my "Behavior Blog" (the blog I use for webinar notes, science paper summaries, nerdy stuff, etc.) These are my handwritten sketch-notes based on a few Animal Training Retreat presentations in Vermont last month.

Dear Lili, I tell dog owners about your wonderful, helpful doggie language poster. I so love your art. I also do a different type of dog art of a political nature, riffing off of the pre-existing yellow dog democrats, and George Rodrigue’s blue dog art which gained a political meaning of political corporatism/centrism, so there was a need for a green dog and red dog that I felt needed to be explored.
And, as Sarah Kendzior ( https://bsky.app/profile/sarahkendzior.bsky.social ) says, paraphrasing, there are no blue states nor red states, only purple like a bruise. So now, I also have purple dogs.
I really love your protest art. I wanted to make sure that you were aware of the following happenings for artists protesting fascism.
Thank you for your love of animals, humans, freedom and art,
Bev

FALL OF FREEDOM
A Call for Artists
Mission
Fall of Freedom is an urgent call to the arts community to unite in defiance of authoritarian forces sweeping the nation. Our Democracy is under attack. Threats to free expression are rising. Dissent is being criminalized. Institutions and media have been recast as mouthpieces of propaganda.
This Fall, we are activating a nationwide wave of creative resistance. Beginning November 21–22, 2025, galleries, museums, libraries, comedy clubs, theaters, and concert halls across the country will host exhibitions, performances, and public events that channel the urgency of this moment. Fall of Freedom is an open invitation to artists, creators, and communities to take part—and to celebrate the experiences, cultures, and identities that shape the fabric of our nation.
Art matters. Artists are a threat to American fascism.
What’s at Stake
Due process gutted. Universities threatened and defunded. Students kidnapped. Migrants deported. Troops deployed. Racism rampant. Cruelty celebrated. Political leaders arrested. Citizenship stripped. Health care shredded. Women’s rights rescinded. Wealth concentrated. Free speech eliminated. Genocide normalized. Science undermined. Arts assaulted. Journalism targeted. Departments shuttered. Grants rescinded. Trans banned. Lawyers capitulating. Coup makers pardoned. Budgets slashed. Abortion outlawed. Courts stacked. Boards replaced. Police unleashed. Nazis emboldened. Bombs dropped.
This is why we must resist.
