August 24, 11am-5pm
PAWS & PAGES BOOK CLUB: Dogs of the World
Wallis Annenberg Petspace, Playa Vista, CA

I will be chatting about my new book, Dogs of the World! I will share some of my process: how I wrote and illustrated this book, my inspirations, and new things I learned. There will also be signed copies which you can purchase if you don't already have a copy. In any case, come and say hi!

Annenberg Petspace has been a longtime illustration client of mine (handouts, video games, puzzles etc. ) On August 24th, all adoptions are FREE.

Sept 20-21
ANIMAL TRAINERS' RETREAT: Training with Love + Science

Brattleboro, VT

I will be attending this workshop in person which combines presentations by behavior science experts (great minds like Kiki Yablon, Eileen Anderson, Mary Hunter and Hannah McGee), hands-on training experiences, and PORTL. This will be my first animal behavior event since 2020 (pre-pandemic), and I won't lie - I am equally excited about learning new things and nervous about travel these days.

This weekend workshop is hosted by Sara Matters and will include a book signing event at Byway Books and More:

A reading, Q & A, and book signing with Annie Grossman at a bookstore in town. For those who don't know, Annie's book is How to Train Your Dog With Love + Science, which we will be distributing free to the first 24 in-person attendees. (The best swag ever?) Joining Annie in the Q & A and signing will be Lili Chin, who is attending the event, and Debbie Jacobs, who lives locally and will be participating in the event. Their books are Doggie Language and Dogs of the World, and A Guide to Living With and Training a Fearful Dog, respectively.

Registration: Event link

P.S. Kiem (my travel buddy) and I will be bringing a travel mahjong set and a few small board games.

Heads up: NYC, Jan-Feb 2026
I am planning possible book-related events to coincide with the Westminster Kennel Club Show. Stay tuned!
