Will you draw my dogs with people and/or a background location?

I don’t draw people or elaborate settings for DOGGIE DRAWINGS which are intended to be simple portraits of your pet as you can see on this blog.

If you wish to commission a drawing with people portraits and background artwork, this drawing will be priced higher and separately from DOGGIE DRAWINGS artwork and may be in a different style from what you see here. Please contact me to discuss.

Will you draw my dog as a company logo?

DOGGIE DRAWINGS are portraits for personal use and enjoyment.

For any sort of design used for commercial purposes - business logos, store banners, or anything that isn’t a simple portrait of your dog in my usual style, this will cost more as the image will be copyrighted exclusively to you, in which case you have the rights to create merchandise & promotional items with it. Please contact me with your requirements and I will send you a quote.

You have drawn my dogs - I would like to add some items/decorations to the drawing to make it holiday-themed. Will you do this?

If I am reusing the drawings that I have already done without creating new portrait poses, I can add extra elements and will charge a small fee depending on how simple or complex the modifications are.

Is it OK if I create products (mugs, tshirts, calendars etc) with your drawings using a site like Cafepress or Zazzle?

I am happy for you to do so ONLY if the products are for your personal use or shared amongst friends and family and not sold for profit. *Note that I have also created artwork for American Boston Terrier Rescue’s Cafepress site. Buy something for a good cause!

Is it OK if I get a tattoo of your drawing?

YES! :)

Can I have a drawing of my dog with a transparent background so that I can edit it in Photoshop and add my own background, text, decorations etc.?

There may be an additional charge per drawing if you would like to receive a layered PSD file. Please let me know in advance what your plans are.

Can you send me the digital file at a different size so that I can put it on my website or have it printed on a greeting card or poster etc.? (eg,  I need the file at ___dpi, __ inches etc.)

The web resolution drawing of your pet is complimentary and can be downloaded via this site or my flickr. Feel free to post this drawing on your site/blog and spread the word about www.doggiedrawings.net! :)

The high resolution file that you receive is the same format that I print from.

If you wish to receive an ADDITIONAL high resolution digital file that is NOT at the standard 8.5 x 11” 200dpi format that I print from, YES I can provide this but there may be an extra charge for time spent creating a new file. I prefer to know in advance the size that you need before I start drawing.
