Dear friends,

Creative Commons License

If you visit www.doggiedrawings.net/dogtraining, you will see a little CC symbol next to each illustration. Click on the symbol and it will tell you that the illustration is offered to the public under a specific Creative Commons License (Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported)

Basically, I am offering a license to everyone to download and share my Dog Training-related illustrations for FREE, on the following terms:

  • Attribution You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work).

  • Noncommercial — You may not use this work for commercial purposes.

  • No Derivative Works — You may not alter, transform, or build upon this work.

*This also applies to the non-English language versions of each illustration that I have seen and approved. If I don’t link to the translated poster on my site, then I don’t know anything about it.

You may download, print and distribute these CC-licensed drawings for FREE. You may also share this unmodified artwork on the internet with credit to Lili Chin and www.doggiedrawings.net. If you choose to send me a Paypal donation, I will be very grateful, but this is not mandatory.

Lately, I have been seeing copies of my illustrations around on the internet with my name and website details CROPPED OUT. I have also been informed that some people are selling my DOGGIE LANGUAGE posters (in other languages) in stores in Europe and have removed my name from the artwork.

NOT COOL.

If you see modified or unmodified copies of my artwork sold from anywhere other than my website and connected stores, this has not been authorized by me. No commercial rights have been granted.

I do also make these posters available for sale for people who don’t want to do their own printing.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

- Lili

“Ask a Dog Trainer”

These photos were taken recently at Dreamworks Animation in Los Angeles, where dog trainer Sarah Owings (who also happens to be my dog’s trainer) set up a “Ask A Trainer” table and answered questions about dog behavior, body language and training. How cool is this! Also present were her clients and their puppy - Leica, and on display were two of my posters: DOGGIE LANGUAGE & WHAT IS POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT DOG TRAINING? (a collaboration with Miki Saito) - both of which you can download or purchase via links on this page.

On the subject of dog training, I just found this great blog post and am compelled to share: Have You Heard The One About Climate Change & Dog Training?

P.S. I also share a lot of my dog training experiences and thoughts on Boogie’s Blog.

More dog training illustrations: Everydog magazine

As seen in everydog magazine. The first illustration was inspired by DINOS: Dogs In Need of Space with words by Grisha Stewart.

In the current Spring 2012 issue of everydog magazine, is a new illustration - TEACHING YOUR DOG TO WALK POLITELY ON LEASH - that I collaborated on with Irith Bloom of The Sophisticated Dog

Behavior Adjustment Training (BAT): the book!

My first contact with Grisha Stewart was three years ago, when she responded to a question that I submitted to the Dogster GOOD DOG blog. That was the first time I’d heard of CAT… and BAT, and found a trainer who taught me to use this training protocol with my dog Boogie.
