Playing With Your Dog

When not doing commissioned portraits and illustrations, I am collaborating with different dog trainers a series of dog training-related illustrations , starring Boogie, my Boston Terrier. Here is a recent poster which was written by Sara Reusche.

If you are a dog trainer/behaviorist and have a specific idea for a training poster or handout that you would like me to illustrate, please contact me to discuss.

My prices start at $200 per page.

As seen in everydog magazine. The first illustration was inspired by DINOS: Dogs In Need of Space with words by Grisha Stewart.

In the current Spring 2012 issue of everydog magazine, is a new illustration - TEACHING YOUR DOG TO WALK POLITELY ON LEASH - that I collaborated on with Irith Bloom of The Sophisticated Dog

Behavior Adjustment Training (BAT): the book!

My first contact with Grisha Stewart was three years ago, when she responded to a question that I submitted to the Dogster GOOD DOG blog. That was the first time I’d heard of CAT… and BAT, and found a trainer who taught me to use this training protocol with my dog Boogie.

All about BAT: www.functionalrewards.com

Boogie’s Blog: Posts filed under “BAT Sessions”.

I feel so honored to be the illustrator for this amazing new book.

Meanwhile, I have added two new pieces to this page of Dog Training Illustrations. (starring my Boston Terrier, Boogie) Please feel free to download and share, with credit to doggiedrawings.net

Dog Training-related Drawings

Some of the drawings that I have created to spice up my Boogie’s blog have received more attention than expected in the doggie blogosphere and in dog training circles.

It is very exciting that my HOW NOT TO GREET A DOG illustration has been republished at Dog-Milk.com, PetConnection.com and in the Fall 2010 issue of Modern Dog Magazine.

The SPACE ETIQUETTE FOR DOGS illustration has been published in the Winter 2011 issue of EveryDog Magazine, with more illustrations scheduled for 2012.
