A HUGE thank you to everyone who has commissioned drawings from me. It has been a blast! Here are some numbers I would like to share with you:
From April 24th until July 31st:
Total number of dogs drawn: 78 (See my Flickr gallery for an overview)
Total funds received: $3155 (not including payments for the dogs that I haven’t yet drawn)
Total funds donated to BostonBuddies: $2600!
If you do the math, I have personally earned about $6 per doggie drawing which just about covers postage, paper, envelopes and printer ink. I am not complaining because I sincerely enjoy drawing dogs for a good cause, but I think that from now on, I need to reconsider my donation percentages so that my time is also compensated for and that I can comfortably continue to do this fundraiser for as long as possible.
And so, starting today, I will be donating 25%-50% of proceeds to BostonBuddies Rescue instead of the previous 80%-100%.
I mentioned in an earlier post that I am also open to sending a percentage of proceeds to other Rescue Groups even though my primary charity is still BostonBuddies. If there is another Rescue Group that you want me to donate to, please let me know when you paypal me.
Oh, and on an unrelated note, has anyone read “Scared Poopless”? I am reading it now and it’s awesome. I am learning so much.
