posted on 27.12.09 Your own DOGGIE DRAWING

Welcome to my DOGGIE DRAWINGS blog! This is where I share all my drawings and post updates on my schedule and donation totals made to rescue.

This DOGGIE DRAWINGS project began in April 2008 as a fundraiser for Boston Buddies - a non-profit Boston terrier rescue organization in Southern California. I have been a foster mom for Boston Buddies and this is also where I adopted my Boston Terrier, Boogie.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who has commissioned pet drawings and helped spread the word. I wish to keep doing this for as long as possible. So far, the response has been fantastic and we have donated thousands of dollars towards helping needy dogs. (See the total on the right side of this blog)

Please read on for information on how to commission a custom portrait of your dog(s). Some information has been updated for 2010 - Please refer to PRICES, PAYMENT and FAQ.

These prices include First Class shipping to anywhere in the world + your donation to Boston Buddies/the rescue of your choice.

For a drawing with 1 dog - $100

For a drawing with 2 dogs - $160

For a drawing with 3 dogs - $220

For a drawing with 4 dogs - $280

For a drawing with more than 4 dogs, please send photos, and contact me for a quote.

PLEASE READ THE FAQ SECTION FOR SPECIAL REQUESTS which may cost more.

20% from each commission will be donated to Boston Buddies Rescue at the end of every quarter. So for example, if you commission a drawing with 1 dog ($100), $20 will be the donation amount. For a drawing with 2 dogs ($160), $32 will be donated, and so on.

If you prefer to donate to a different Rescue group, please let me know at the time of payment.

I have also donated artwork to American Boston Terrier Rescue. Click here to buy stuff for a good cause!

Payment can be made via Paypal or by check. Please pay in advance. I will email you an invoice before I start drawing.

The final print and digital file will be sent only after receipt of full payment.

If paying by Paypal, please include your mailing address. If you prefer expedited shipping within the USA, add $5.00 to the total for Priority Mail (2-3 days).

If you would prefer to mail a check please contact me for my address.

I work from photos so please email me a link to your favorite photos if they are in an online gallery (eg, Flickr, photobucket, Picasa, box.net. etc.) or attach your favorite photos in an email with a short description of your dog’s personality.

I prefer photos that include different angles, show at least one good facial close-up, at least one good full body pose with no clothing on so that I can see his/her unique body markings clearly, and accurate colors in natural lighting.

If you would like me to include a specific toy or a collar or costume, please let me know in advance and include reference photos for these items.

*If you have special requests for the drawing (extra props, background, different size etc.) please refer to the FAQ SECTION and let me know in advance. Some extras may cost more.

I refer to your photos to create a digital drawing.

I use a combination of Macromedia Flash and Adobe Photoshop, drawing directly onto my computer screen using a Wacom Cintiq pen and tablet.

Before I finish the drawing, I will email you a PREVIEW so that if you need to have certain things changed, this is a good time to let me know. :)

TIMEFRAME: Depending on how busy I am (because I do other work during the day) the finished drawing could take any time from 2 days to 2 weeks. Domestic shipping by USPS First Class mail takes 2-7 days.

1. One 8.5 x 11” print, signed by Yours Truly. This is printed on Epson Ultra Premium Presentation Matte paper, and sent by USPS First Class mail.

2. A link to download a high resolution file from which you can create your own prints. The file is in PDF format - 200 dpi, 8.5 x 11 inches.

PLEASE READ THE FAQ SECTION FOR SPECIAL REQUESTS.

In addition to drawing pet portraits, I also have calendars and artwork for sale featuring Boogie my boston terrier. My Mid-Century Boogie and Boogie On Scooters 2011 calendars are both available at my ZAZZLE STORE.

Also stay tuned … I am opening a new etsy store in 2011!

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

THANK YOU!
